Welcome Abibah Kromah, our newest BIOL 399A student

We are delighted to welcome Abibah Kromah to our team through BIOL 399A – Research Project in the Faculty of Science. This two-term course provides third-year students with the opportunity to carry out directed independent research under the supervision of a faculty member. Students gain hands-on experience in experimental design, data collection, and scientific communication, with successful completion requiring a written report on their research project.

Abibah’s project will focus on vascular growth factors during asphyxia, an important area of investigation to better understand mechanisms of injury and repair in newborns affected by hypoxic events. Her work will contribute to advancing knowledge of neonatal physiology and potential therapeutic strategies.
