A memorable start to our ILCOR meeting in India

Today, the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada took us to Agra to visit the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort before our annual International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) meeting begins in Delhi.
The Taj Mahal is a white marble mausoleum built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Nearby, Agra Fort’s imposing red sandstone walls recall the city’s time as a centre of Mughal power. Seeing both sites in one day offered a remarkable glimpse into India’s history and architecture.
I’m grateful to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada for bringing us together for this experience. It was a wonderful opportunity to spend time with colleagues before we turn our attention to the resuscitation science discussions ahead.
