Among the World’s Top 2% of Scientists for Five Consecutive Years (2022–2026)
Updated: 21 hours ago
I am proud to share that I have once again been included among the world’s top 2% of scientists in the Stanford–Elsevier database, with my ranking improving to 202,054 in 2026.
The annual database, Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators, uses citation metrics to assess the impact of researchers’ publications across scientific disciplines.
My rankings over the past five years:
2026: 202,054
2025: 220,473
2024: 238,747
2023: 264,129
2022: 312,991
This year’s ranking represents an improvement of 18,419 places compared with 2025 and 110,937 places since 2022.
For me, this recognition reflects a shared effort. I am grateful to the researchers, clinicians, trainees, collaborators, and families who contribute to our work at the Centre for the Studies of Asphyxia and Resuscitation (CSAR), University of Alberta, and through our partnerships around the world.
Our goal remains clear: to advance neonatal resuscitation science, improve care for newborn infants struggling to take their first breaths, and support better survival and long-term outcomes for infants and their families.
Thank you to everyone who helps move this work forward.
