The Centre for Studies of Asphyxia and Resuscitation (CSAR) has been recertified at the Gold level through the University of Alberta’s Green Spaces program, continuing an uninterrupted commitment that began in 2017.

Issued by the university’s Energy & Climate Action team, our renewed certification covers October 13, 2026, to October 12, 2027.

The Green Spaces program encourages sustainable practices in campus laboratories and workplaces, including reducing waste, conserving energy and water, protecting natural resources, and supporting social inclusion.

Maintaining Gold certification reflects the ongoing commitment of our staff, researchers and trainees to making sustainability part of everyday life at CSAR. Alongside our work to improve outcomes for newborn infants and their families, we value responsible use of the resources that make this research possible.

Thank you to everyone at CSAR who helps sustain this commitment. Gold since 2017—and continuing forward together.
